KeatsConnelly in the News

At KeatsConnelly, we work hard to help our clients realize their dreams of a cross-border lifestyle. We are often called upon as industry experts on several financial, economic and general business topics in both Canada and the United States.  Due to our team’s hard work, we also have the great honor of being recognized by organizations and associations across the country as leaders in our industry and in the community.

Below is a snapshot of some of our most recent news, outreach and recognition:

Welcome to our four newest employees –Stephen Thompson, Russ Cummings, Amanda Shuster and Mary-Heather Styles!

Stephen is joining the team as an Associate Planner and brings international business experience and a degree from Stanford University to the role.

Russ is joining the team as a Software Analyst and brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, as well as time served as a United States Marine.

Our new Receptionist, Amanda, brings administrative and customer service experience to her role, preparing her for our busy front office!

Amanda replaces Martha Mendoza who was promoted to Bob Keats’ Executive Assistant, as well as Marketing Assistant to Barbara Madden.

Mary-Heather, International Tax Manager of Transatlantic Tax, is an English barrister who has lived and worked in both the United States and United Kingdom, specializing in tax law for more than 25 years.  See Mary-Heather’s recent ‘Spotlight’ in the Phoenix Business Journal:

Speaking of Transatlantic Tax, you may have already heard – and it has certainly been covered by several news outlets – that KeatsConnelly has expanded its services to offer cross-border tax planning for citizens of both the United States and United Kingdom living, investing and/or working in both countries.

And speaking of investing, KeatsConnelly has entered into two major partnerships to serve clients even better.  First, we have partnered with RBC Advisor Services as a new custody platform of choice.  The news spread fast – including a story on, click here to read it.  Through this new relationship, KeatsConnelly can, for the first time, access all the capabilities of a full-service broker-dealer and wealth management platform, providing a wider range of products and services to its most sophisticated high net worth clients.

Second, we’ve partnered with Moneycorp to further assist our clients with currency exchange. For more information, please click here.

A special congratulations to KeatsConnelly’s director of tax services, Wayne Tibbetts, as he has earned a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

We are also pleased to announce that CEO, Dale Walters, was named President of the All Star Financial Group, and that KeatsConnelly was honored with both an Alfred P. Sloane Award for Workplace Flexibility – our third time in a row to receive this honor – and for making the list of “Top Wealth Managers” by Wealth Manager Magazine for the 10th year in a row.

Peter Eickelberg has also been busy, both with his work at KeatsConnelly and being an interviewee with the Phoenix Business Journal on the ups and downs of investing.  To view the full story, please click here.

Not to be outdone, Bob Keats has several big announcements too!  First, Self-Counsel Press is getting ready to release the 10th Edition of Bob Keats’ The Border Guide in electronic format. And… Bob was interviewed on VoiceAmerica recently focusing on everything cross-border living.  If you missed it, click here to listen.  He was also interviewed by the Wall Street Journal.  You can read it by clicking here.

And finally, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that Dale Walters’ first book – Buying Real Estate in the US: The Concise Guide for Canadians – is now available!  Please click here for more details.
