Sally Taylor, the Director of Financial Planning at KeatsConnelly, was recently appointed President of Soroptimist International of Phoenix (SIP). Sally’s new role culminated through years of dedication and commitment to this important organization.
SIP is one of the largest Soroptimist clubs in the world, with currently over 60 members. The membership ranges from presidents and executives of private companies to local, state and federal court judges, top governmental administrative staff, heads of civic and social service organizations, and a number of attorneys and accountants. Through their service projects, they have been able to generate more than $30,000 a year for women and children in need.
SIP is part of a worldwide organization with a membership of over 85,000 business, professional, and executive women in 120 countries committed to community service and international goodwill and understanding. The heart of the Soroptimist mission is “improving the lives of women and girls.”
SIP supports a wide variety of charities helping women and children such as Unlimited Potential and Homeward Bound. The program also provides ongoing support and coaching from the members of SIP to continue pursuing educational growth through the community college system, or professionally recognized certification programs.
The essence of being a Soroptimist is found in their pledge, which outlines their ideals:
The Sincerity of Friendship
The Joy of Achievement
The Dignity of Service
The Integrity of Profession
The Love of Country
KeatsConnelly congratulates Sally for earning this important leadership role for SIP and donating her time to such a worthy organization!
